How Salary Is Calculated
Net salary is calculated by deducting employee EFKA contributions (13.77%) and income tax withholding from the gross salary. Tax is calculated progressively on the annual income. The employer pays additional contributions of 21.79%. The minimum wage in Greece is €880 gross. Note: the solidarity contribution has been abolished since 1/1/2023.
