Accounting & Bookkeeping

Bookkeeping, VAT, myDATA and financial statements for every type of business, with a clear monthly picture of where your company stands.

From our office in central Thessaloniki, at El. Venizelou 4, we have kept the books of sole traders, freelancers and companies since 1991. Today a team of 17 people looks after more than 200 businesses, working under Greek Accounting Standards (ELP, Law 4308/2014) and IFRS where required.

For us, accounting does not stop at filing on time. Every month we close the books, reconcile banks, customers and suppliers against myDATA, and explain in plain language what the numbers show: how your margin is moving, what tax to expect and which decisions are worth making early.

Who it’s for: Sole traders and freelancers, IKE, EPE and AE companies, partnerships (OE/EE), start-ups in their first year, and Greek subsidiaries or branches of foreign companies.

What our accounting service covers

Bookkeeping & ELP Compliance

Day-to-day entries in single-entry or double-entry books under Greek Accounting Standards (Law 4308/2014), closed every month rather than only at year end.

Classification and transmission of invoices to AADE's myDATA platform, mismatch checks and preparation for mandatory B2B e-invoicing.

VAT Returns & Periodic Filings

Monthly or quarterly VAT returns, EU recapitulative statements (VIES), Intrastat where required, and withholding tax returns.

Financial Statements

Balance sheet, income statement and notes under ELP or IFRS, the annual corporate income tax return and publication with the GEMI business registry.

Management Reporting

Monthly results, cost per activity, a running tax estimate and key ratios on a single page, so you decide on real figures.

Corporate Compliance

GEMI filings, minutes of general meetings and management, statutory books and updates to the beneficial ownership register.

How we work with you

  1. Introduction and review

In a first meeting, at our office or online, we learn how your business works, how many documents you issue and which software you use.

  2. Handover of the books

If you are switching accountants, we collect the files, check balances and open items, and plan the move so that no filing is missed.

  3. Monthly close

We gather invoices and bank movements, reconcile with myDATA, file VAT and other returns, and tell you what needs to be paid.

  4. Review and planning

Every month or quarter we go through results, the tax forecast and the moves worth making before the year closes.

Deadlines we track for you

The main obligations of a business in Greece over a year. Exact dates depend on your legal form and type of books.

  • VAT return: monthly for double-entry books, quarterly for single-entry, due by the last working day of the following month.
  • Transmission of income and expense documents to myDATA, and checks for mismatches with customers and suppliers.
  • Monthly withholding tax return whenever you employ staff or pay fees to third parties.
  • Annual income tax return (E3 with E1, or form N for companies), as a rule by 15 July for a calendar financial year.
  • Approval of the financial statements by the general meeting and publication with GEMI.

Accounting and bookkeeping: frequently asked questions

Do I need single-entry or double-entry books?

IKE, EPE and AE companies always keep double-entry books. Sole traders and partnerships (OE, EE) usually keep single-entry books until they pass the revenue threshold set by law, or choose double-entry voluntarily. We tell you what applies to you in our first conversation.

Can I switch accountants in the middle of the year?

Yes. We collect the files and balances from your previous accountant, check what has been filed and take over from the following month. The change of accountant with AADE is done online and does not affect your deadlines.

What do I need to send you every month?

Any invoices that do not already appear in myDATA, your bank statements, and anything that changes in the business, such as a new lease, a loan or a new hire. We give you a simple checklist and pull data directly wherever possible.

Do you work with businesses outside Thessaloniki?

Yes. Bookkeeping is done digitally, so we work with businesses across Greece and with foreign companies operating here. You are welcome at our office for meetings, or we meet online.

How are your fees set?

Fees depend on the legal form, the type of books, the number of documents and the number of employees. After a first conversation we send you a specific proposal, so you know from the start what is included.
